Claire Neumann (LCSW)

Claire Neumann (LCSW) earned her BA in Communications, with a minor in Psychology and a Certificate in Musical Theatre, from Northwestern University, followed by her MSW from NYU Silver School of Social Work. Most recently she served as the Clinical Director of an outpatient chemical dependency program in NYC, working with adults and young adults with substance use disorders. With a background in creative drama and utilizing theatre as a therapeutic modality, she has incorporated these techniques in group therapy with adults, and spent nine years running improvisational comedy workshops for kids of all ages in schools across New York City. She performed for families on the Broadway National Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, created and performed an opera-musical with children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, implemented “Comedy Now!” a creative drama curriculum at P.S. 161 in the Bronx, and supported medically fragile foster children and their families as an Educational Advocate at New Alternatives for Children. Claire has EU dual citizenship, speaks French fluently, and is actively working on becoming trilingual, adding Spanish to her linguistic pursuits!
