Dr. LeKisha Mixon is a Licensed Clinical Forensic Psychologist who specializes in forensic and clinical assessment. She has assisted courts, state/federal agencies and legal teams with answering questions related to violence risk, competency to stand trial, parental fitness, and mitigation. Dr. Mixon has assisted charter schools with determining eligibility for educational modification due to child or adolescent disability.
Her clinical experience and interests are within dual diagnosis, sexual behavior problems, sexuality, social justice, inter-generational trauma, gender issues, domestic violence, and community psychology. Dr. Mixon extends her expertise into the community by facilitating workshops and trainings on sexual offender dynamics, forensic psychology, racial issues in forensic mental health, cultural competence, dual diagnosis, and sexual abuse survivorship. Dr. Mixon is published researcher on topics related to black sexuality, stereotype threat, and psychological expert witness testimony.
She utilizes eastern and western modalities of healing with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral, mindfulness/meditation, black psychology, and humanistic perspectives.
